When we surveyed more than a thousand U.S. churchgoers this summer and found a significant giving gap between them and their churches, we knew it was important information that needed to be shared ahead of the holiday giving season.
We thought that churches who depend on their November and December offerings for a large part of their operating budgets would want to know that many of their members would prefer to support them by contributing through text, kiosk, smartphone and other online options.
